3 layers of paper for each punched cluster - and a little sewing. Not much to it, but it was fun to make. Used about 80 hearts. Made approx. 6 feet. I was trying to use up some of my stash, so some of the papers have white on the back. (I didn't want to go out and buy more paper - defeated the purpose.) I decided I didn't mind having a bit of white show up now and again. I can always paint the backs or use spray ink if I decide to cover up the white later on. Next time, would use all double sided paper.

VALENTINE GARLAND
